1. Policy Statement
MT Logistics Group maintains a zero‑tolerance approach to bribery and corruption. We strictly prohibit offering, giving, soliciting, or accepting any bribe—be it cash, gifts, hospitality, or other advantages whether dealing with public officials or private entities. This commitment is consistent with our legal obligations under the UK Bribery Act 2010.
2. Scope & Applicability
This policy applies to:
- All employees (permanent, temporary, or contract)
- Directors, officers, and agents
- Contractors, consultants, suppliers, and third-party partners acting on our behalf in any location
3. Prohibited Conduct
It is prohibited to:
- Offer or accept any bribe to gain improper business or regulatory advantage
- Provide or receive facilitation (“grease”) payments even to speed up routine tasks
- Use third parties to channel bribery or conceal wrongdoing
- Misrepresent expenses, gifts, or hospitality in company records
4. Gifts & Hospitality
Accepting or offering gifts, entertainment, or travel must:
- Be proportionate, reasonable, and bona fide
- Never be used to influence business decisions or win contracts
- Be recorded accurately in registers or ledgers if required
5. Due Diligence & Supply Chain Expectations
- We conduct due diligence on new hires and suppliers to verify anti-bribery compliance.
- Our contracts require that suppliers and agents uphold equivalent anti-corruption standards. Non-compliance may result in termination.
6. Roles & Responsibilities
- Board of Directors oversees compliance with legal obligations
- Compliance Officer manages daily implementation, monitoring, and incident review
- Managers & Staff must complete training and uphold due diligence standards
7. Reporting & Whistleblowing
Anyone who suspects bribery or corruption must report it immediately to management or use our internal whistleblowing channels. Reports will be handled confidentially and without retaliation.
8. Disciplinary Measures & Legal Consequences
Violation of this policy may lead to disciplinary action, including termination. Individuals and the company may face severe legal consequences including fines and imprisonment under the Bribery Act 2010.
9. Training & Communication
- Anti-bribery obligations are part of induction and repeated regularly
- Employees and partners receive guidance on identifying and responding to bribery risks
10. Monitoring & Review
This policy is reviewed at least annually or upon regulatory changes to ensure it remains current and enforced effectively.
